Update on Services

The McComb Public Library is once again offering computer / study room / genealogy room use BY APPOINTMENT. 

 

Time slots can fill quickly, so it's best to call and schedule an appointment. 601-684-2661, ext. 3 or 4 OR you can email pawlsystem2019@gmail.com. Walk-ins will be allowed IF we are not at our limit of 4 people on the computers.

 

We will let you know what times are available when you call and anything else you need to know - i.e., requirements for entering the library, info on computer use, etc.

 

All other available services remain CURBSIDE.

This includes book checkouts, copies, faxes, scans, laminating, and computer printouts.

LIMITED IN-HOUSE COMPUTER USE STARTING JUNE 1, 2020.

Starting tomorrow, 5/28/2020 from 9:00-4:00, the McComb Public Library will start taking appointments for LIMITED IN-HOUSE COMPUTER USE. Appointments will be made for June 1 - 5, and June 8 - 12, 2020 between 9:00-4:00 Mon.-Thurs. and 9:30-3:30 Fri. Reservations will be for ONE HOUR of computer use. For the time being, we are limiting to three patrons per hour. If you will need help on the computer, you may bring ONE person with you for assisting you only. Printing services will be available at regular charge. More information given when you call.

STUDY ROOM appointments will also begin tomorrow from 9:00-4:00, for the dates of June 1-5 and June 8-12. Limit 2 people per room and the reservations are for ONE HOUR. 

GENEALOGY ROOM USE appointments may also be made starting tomorrow. Limit 1 person for a reservation time of ONE HOUR. Must have a Genealogy Access Card and knowledge of genealogy equipment use.

NO EVENING or SATURDAY appointments will be made at this time.

Download the Hoopla app, register with your library card and phone number. Limit 3 ebooks/audiobooks per month. Checkout period is 21 days. They have a HUGE selection.

In addition to the checkout and email print services explained in a previous post, the following services are now being offered: 

 

1. Faxing $1.50/pg. sending and receiving

2. Laminating $1.00/pg. 8 1/2" x 11" or smaller

3. Copying .20/pg B&W and .50/pg COLOR

4. Flash drives, earbuds, and blank CDs will be offered for purchase. 

 

All services must be PAID IN ADVANCE with EXACT CHANGE.

There's an easy way to see what's new at your library!

* Go to our online catalog 

* You'll see the newest items in our collection scrolling underneath the welcome message. You can click on any picture to find more information about the item and which libraries own a copy.

 * Also, on the right hand side of the screen, under "What's Hot," click on "What's New".  You can search by item type (such as books or dvds), and when new items were added last (1 or 2 weeks, 1 month, or 2 months ago). Once you've made your selections, click Search. You will then see a list of new items added!
